Why it’s on the list: When I was a kid I had a couple of penpals. One was a girl in Australia called Patti; I think she was the daughter of a friend of my grandma, but I can’t actually remember. We wrote regularly for a year or so but then stopped for some reason. I also wrote to a couple of friends I had from our holidays in Cromer. When the internet came along I had a couple of email penpals but again, the communication didn’t last long – and then I went on to journalling in an online diary, and then fcebook, Twitter and this blog. It would be good to have a penpal again though – either via email or post. Not sure how to go about finding one though!
How/when I’ll judge this task to be completed: When I have found a penpal and have sent at least 6 letters/emails.

OK I’ve left this one way too late but I do now have a penpal – Nicole in Germany (found via http://www.interpals.net) – and though we haven’t exchanged six letters yet I’m going to be nice to myself and declare this one complete 🙂
