1. Gave the Big Issue seller £5 for a copy costing £2 and said she could keep the change.

2. Homeless guy in the car park in Oxford let me in on a secret – the ticket machine clocks were an hour out so I’d only have to put in £3.20, not £6.20. Gave him the extra three quid to help him get into a hostel for the night.
