I’ve been interested in lomography for a while after I saw some pics taken by a friend with a Lomo camera. I loved the unpredictability of the results – the vignetting, the colour saturation and the overall snapshot quality brought something different to the pictures. I’ve even gone as far as looking at Lomo cameras on ebay but never got round to buying one – partly because, having got used to digital cameras, I didn’t want to go back to film!

So you can imagine I was pretty excited to come across various lomo apps for the iphone.  One in particular caught my eye and I downloaded it and tried it out. MoreLomo is a freebie app and it’s unusual in that as well as being able to take a photo which is given pretty realistic Lomo effects, you can save both the original and the Lomo version – so you don’t have to take two pictures of everything! Mind you, I have to say I actually really like the Lomo versions more than the originals in most cases!!

I’ve had great fun taking photos of really boring subjects which are then made quite mysterious and creative through the app. Below are a few of my favourites so far!
